Most Chase branches open Monday through Friday, usually around 9 a.m., and stay open into the late afternoon. However, Saturday has short hours, and most branches do not open on Sunday.
Anyway, hours change by location, so you must check your own branch before you head out.
However, if all you need is cash, a deposit, or a quick balance check, you can use ATMs, the mobile app, and the phone line, which are active 24/7.
That said, if you do need a teller, this guide walks you through the usual branch hours and the upcoming holiday closures. Besides, it also shows the fastest way to see what your branch is doing today.
Chase branch hours
The common weekday pattern is a 9 a.m. opening and a closing time somewhere around 5 p.m. That’s a pattern, not a promise. Some branches close earlier and some stay open later.
Saturday is where the variation shows up. Plenty of branches open from roughly 9 a.m. to 1 or 2 p.m., and some don’t open at all, especially in smaller towns.
Sunday is mostly closed. Anyway, if you only need to pay your card, you can make a Chase payment without waiting for a branch to open.
A handful of locations do open, and Chase’s locator has a filter for finding them.
Why the differences? Branches inside malls and shopping centers often follow the property’s schedule, and local demand plays a part too. Chase also runs two kinds of branches. Full-service branches are the most common.
Companion branches are paired with a nearby full-service one and offer a narrower set of services, so a companion branch being open doesn’t always mean the thing you need is available there.
Holiday closures
Banks generally follow the Federal Reserve’s holiday calendar, and branches are usually closed on those days. Chase doesn’t publish one master list, so treat these as the likely dates and check your branch.
Veterans Day is coming up on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, and the Fed observes it, so expect branches to be closed. Thanksgiving follows on Thursday, November 26.
Then Christmas Day lands on Friday, December 25, and New Year’s Day 2027 falls on a Friday too, January 1. Therefore, it’s worth mapping those dates out now, so you don’t end up standing outside a locked door.
One thing to keep in mind: a few banks stay open on some of these days, but that’s the exception, not the rule.
Both of those Fridays turn a normal weekend into a three-day one, so a deposit you were planning to make Friday morning won’t happen.
The day after Thanksgiving isn’t a federal holiday, so branches are usually open, though some run shorter hours. Veterans Day is the one where I’d double-check, since not every bank branch treats it the same way.

What works when the branch is closed
Chase ATMs are the obvious fallback. Outdoor, freestanding, and drive-up machines are typically available around the clock. ATMs inside a branch lobby can be a different story, because they may only be reachable while the branch is open.
Vestibule ATMs are often accessible after hours with a card swipe. The locator lists ATM hours separately from branch hours, so look at both.
Check deposits don’t need a branch either. The Chase mobile app takes photos of checks any time of day, which is usually the better move than driving to a lobby at 4:55 p.m.
If you deposit late, the bank usually processes it the next business day after the cutoff time. Cutoffs vary by deposit method, so the app or your branch will tell you the exact time.
Chase Customer Support
Chase’s number for existing personal accounts is 1-800-935-9935, and its automated service runs 24/7, so you can get a hold of the system any time of day. However, that doesn’t mean a real person will pick up at 2 a.m., and different departments keep their own hours.
For online and mobile banking tech support, there is a separate line: 1-877-CHASEPC (1-877-242-7372). If you’re calling from outside the U.S., use 1-713-262-3300.
That said, if it’s about your card, the number printed on the back is the most direct route, making it one of the quickest ways to reach the right team. Not only does it skip the guesswork, but it also sends you to people who actually handle your account.
How to check your own branch’s hours
Head over to chase.com/locator and search the branch locator with your ZIP code, address, or city. You can also use the locator in the Chase app. Tap the specific branch rather than reading the results list.
The branch page is where you’ll see temporary changes and holiday notices, including lobby hours, drive-up hours, and ATM hours.
Google Maps is fine for a quick look, but it can lag. New branches and short-notice changes tend to appear on chase.com first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Most branches aren’t. A small number are, and the locator’s Sunday filter will find them. Your ATM, app, and phone options still work.
Many branches are, usually for a half day. Some stay closed, so check the specific location before you go.
Mid-morning on a weekday tends to be calmer than lunch hour, Fridays, or the last hour before closing. That’s a general pattern, not a Chase statistic, so your branch may differ.
